Alba Petisco finishes in 36th place at the Paris Olympics.

On Sunday, July 28, Alba Petisco competed in the Olympic Games qualifiers to qualify for the All-Around and apparatus finals. After a long training period, it was time to reap the rewards.

The Spanish women began the competition on the balance beam, where Alba nailed the performance. She started the competition feeling good, even though she was nervous. However, on the floor apparatus, she fell on her second diagonal. Even so, she managed to turn things around, with a very good Yurchenko twist and a very dynamic and clean parallel bars routine.

She finished the competition in 36th place with a total of 51.299 points, 0.399 seconds off the overall standings.

Sometimes, the result isn't what she expected, but Alba has shown that giving up and quitting is never an option, serving as an inspiration to young gymnasts who dream of one day making it to the Olympic Games.
